Eye tracking technology vendor Tobii said developers will soon be able to get a crack at its new IS4 platform and EyeChip module, which includes near infrared sensors, illuminators and a middleware engine.
Comcast is among the pay TV distributors that have used Tobii’s software development kit to test ways to allow viewers to control video and connected home products by gazing at a screen.
Tobii said it is accepting applications from system integrators and original equipment manufacturers for its early access program. Its evaluation kit, which will begin shipping in December, includes integration guides, reference designs, “comprehensive support and collaboration.”
