Hitron, Entropic Modify D3 Gateway

Hitron won FCC approval for an upgrade to a Wi-Fi gateway that supports the MoCA 2.0 and DOCSIS 3.0 standards.

Internal photos of the gateway show that components a MoCA 2.0 system on a chip from San Diego, Calif.-based Entropic Communications, an 802.11 ac radio solution from Qualcomm and Wi-Fi antennas supplied by Airgain.

Recent modification sinclude the placement of a gasket between the MoCA module and tuner shielding designed to ensure grounding of the MoCA module, according to Hitron.
