Comcast Lands TVE Rights to Discovery Content

Comcast and Discovery Communications said they agreed to a long-term distribution deal that includes TV Everywhere rights to Discovery’s 12 U.S. networks.

Comcast’s Xfinity subscribers will be able to access content from Discovery Channel, TLC, Animal Planet and other networks “both in and out of the home,” the companies said in a joint announcement Monday morning.

“Comcast is a dynamic and innovative company and has been a great partner of Discovery’s for over two decades. We look forward to continuing our relationship and unlocking the value of Discovery’s content in even greater ways for Xfinity viewers,” Discovery CEO David Zaslav said in the announcement.
