Next-generation Xfinity remote controls may come with charging cradles, a Comcast patent published on Tuesday indicates.
Comcast Senior Lead Industrial Designer Mike Jou is named as lead inventor on the patent, titled, “Remote base with illuminated region.”
The patent contains images that show a remote similar in design to Comcast’s voice remote standing vertically in a charging cradle. It’s worth noting that a Comcast patent application that was published last year shows a touch-screen remote control that is designed to rest horizontally on a base station.
