One week Arris announced the launch of its DCX3635 Media Gateway, the super DVR appeared in a test report from the FCC Office of Engineering & Technology.
Internal photos show that the media gateway contains a hard disk drive manufactured by Seagate Technology.
The whole-home gateway is designed to work with the Arris IP815 wireless media player. Both the gateway and thin client set-tops support the Moxi user interface.
“Today’s consumers demand high-quality entertainment on their terms. Our MOXI Whole Home Solution offers a feature-rich, personalized solution that integrates seamlessly with our media gateway and player to give operators a broader range of choices for delivering tomorrow’s entertainment,” Debbie Stackis, Arris SVP & GM of consumer solutions, said in an Arris announcement earlier this month.
The DCX3635 passed emission tests at the FCC, according to a test report that was filed on Oct. 22.
